Cisco Utah - A ghostown
Cisco, Utah, is a ghost town in Grand County. Originally a railroad town for the Denver and Rio Grande, with the demise of steam locomotives its population dwindlled. It contains many relics of a typical railroad town. It is visible briefly from I-70 and is near Utah state route 128. Much of the site is vandalized or covered with hillbilly cars, campers, and trash. The Union Pacific still uses the railroad siding, and the California Zephyr Amtrak passes through town, but does not stop. It has been featured in several movies, and ironically enough, high speed DSL is avaialble for the dozen or so residents.
